The series asks us to consider
the ghosting affect of the
photograph’s trace. It situates
itself between a Gothic mystery,
a forensic document and a
scene of seduction.
Depending on our own Imaginary,
we will put this together in ways
that seduce us. This is, in many
ways, a feminine writing through
the absent presence of the photograph.
It troubles the materiality of
photography as a document and
pushes the medium into a fantasy.
As viewers we listen for the story
but the artist clearly disappears,
preferring a poetic allusion.
